Hello Day Dreamers,
Yesterday Disney released a few more preview images of the soon to be Pixar Pier (formerly Paradise Pier), and boy does it look like a lot of fun!!
Right from the start you can see Luxo the World’s most famous lamp and Pixar mascot housed atop the Pixar Pier Sign. Passing under the sign will lead you to the new Lamplight Lounge.
This will now be the location of the former Cove Bar, and yes, they will indeed be serving the popular Lobster Nachos. It will still be a bar and lounge feel with bites and appetizers served upstairs and a full sit down restaurant downstairs.
Following down the path you will come to some yummy frozen treats!
There will be a variety of soft serve and parfait deserts. A particular desert called “Don’t Worry, It’s Lemon” which is a lemon desert dipped in white chocolate is sure to be a favorite.
From there you will head into the Neighborhood of the The Incredibles and onto the Incredicoaster!
The story of the coaster tells of how baby Jack Jack’s powers have gotten out of hand and the family works to get him back under control. There were also a few concept photos released of the ride below. Click on the images for a larger view.
Following the coaster will be the new Toy Story Neighborhood anchored by Jessie’s Critter Carousel (formerly King Triton’s Carousel).
Along with the re-themed carousel will be a few new eateries. The new Senor Buzz Churros:
The new Hot Dog stand Angry Dogs:
And the new Poultry Palace; yum, yum, yum!!!
The Boardwalk games will all be reconfigured as Pixar themed games.
And finally at the end of the promenade will be lots of sweet treats sold at Bing Bong Confectionary along with merchandise shopping opportunities at Knick Knacks.
There are still more details to be announced, including a neighborhood that incorporate a theme from the movie “Inside Out”. Details will be coming soon, along with details of the upcoming Pixar celebrations being held in Disneyland.
2018 is shaping up to be the year of Pixar. Stay tuned for more…
